Assetto Corsa (Italian for "Race Setup") is a sim racing video game developed past the Italian video game programmer Kunos Simulazioni. It is designed with an emphasis on a realistic racing experience with support for extensive customization and moddability. Assetto Corsa is a racing simulation that attempts to offer a realistic driving experience with a diverseness of route and race cars through detailed physics and tyre simulation on race tracks recreated through laser-scanning engineering science. Kunos Simulazioni congenital Assetto Corsa on the experience acquired with the development of netKar Pro and Ferrari Virtual Academy. In its 2015 review of the PC version, British motorcar magazine Evo highlights Assetto Corsa's physics, writing that "some aspects that other games barely touch on, such equally tyre deformation and accurate friction models, are impressively accurate", and concludes: "What Assetto Corsa neatly demonstrates is the multifariousness available in the racing simulation game market, and also developers' different interpretations of the term 'simulation'. [...] While defective in vehicle and circuits right at present, Assetto Corsa is 1 of the all-time simulations we've tried".[62] However, in September 2016, The PlayStation Official Mag said "as an actual racing game, information technology's rather sedate, feature-calorie-free and often unfairly hard."[56]
